The design approach

Connect the perimeter.
Keep the landscape intact.

Wireless video links replace long data runs across the property. Local power and short cable connections are still needed at the devices.

01 / The challenge

A large site. A central viewing point.

Perimeter cameras need to reach the security station. A cable route to every location would cross established lawns, paths, and paving.

  • Distributed camera locations
  • Existing landscaping and walkways
  • A project budget to work within
02 / The approach

A wireless path between devices.

Building-mounted access points receive nearby camera video. A central radio hub gathers the feeds, and a point-to-point bridge carries them to the security station.

  • Local camera-to-access-point links
  • Elevated, line-of-sight radio connections
  • A shared route to live viewing and recording

From the field

The connection starts
with placement.

The source case places radio equipment high on the buildings, beneath the roofline. The layout brings the access points into direct view of the central hub.

Select an access point to see its position in the schematic, then follow the video path to the security station.
